COLOR is a book that explores the mystery, magic, and misinformation that give us our understanding of color.
It argues that color is a fundamentally human concept; physics-based definitions of color obscure the role of individuals and cultures in shaping our concept of color. It examines the processes through which color acquires meaning and purpose, while critiquing conventional definitions of color.
